A continuación se enlistaran 8 oraciones con alimentos contables y 8 no contables. Esto con el fin de ayudar al estudiante a aprender a utilizar estos ejemplos en su clase de inglés.  

Contables
1.       I would like to have 4 candies.
2.       I will have 2 apples and 3 oranges.
3.       My brother ate a whole tomato last night.
4.       My friends had 6 whole strawberries.
5.       The store owner told me to take 3 mangos.
6.       There were 3 pineapples at the party yesterday.
7.       I put used 2 lemons for my soup.
8.       I had 3 Oreo cookies on my birthday.  

No Constables
1.       I drank milk last night.
2.       My brother drinks a lot of water.
3.       We all had wine while eating our dinner.
4.       I bought a lot of rice from the store.
5.       My brother likes to put a lot of salt on his food.

En ingles, clasificamos los individuos o cosas en en contables y no contables.

Los contables son aquellos a los que podemos decir en números cuantos hay, por ejemplo los libros puedo decir que hay 2, 5 u 8 libros, también son identificables porque en el sustantivo se sabe si es en singular o en plural: Book (1) - Books (2 o más). Para preguntar por ellos se usa la expresión HOW MANY.

Los incontables son aquellos que no pueden ser medidos de forma simple y que observando el sustantivo no podemos saber cual es su cantidad ya que no admiten forma plural ni artículos. Por ejemplo agua (water), azucar (sugar). Estas palabras pueden ir acompañadas de la palabra some (algunos) o any (alguno/ninguno). Para preguntar por ellos se usa el HOW MUCH.
